Will conduct study on including private sector in order of precedence: Home Minister Lekhak - Respectful treatment must to boost private sector morale: FNCCI President Dhakal
Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak has said that the government will study the request made by the private sector to include it in the national order of precedence. In a meeting with office bearers and executive committee members of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) on Wednesday, Minister Lekhak said that there was no dispute that the private sector should be included in the order of precedence.
During the meeting, FNCCI President Chandra Prasad Dhakal said that at a time when the morale of the private sector is declining, including the private sector in the order of precedence would send a positive message. The FNCCI has been continuously lobbying the government in this regard.
Similarly, FNCCI President Dhakal also drew the attention of Home Minister Lekhak to the fact that the private sector is discouraged by the crackdown on businesspeople. Minister Lekhak said that the present government is very sensitive to issues related to the private sector and investment. He said that the agreement reached during the formation of the government also included the promotion of domestic and foreign investment, and urged the private sector to contact him if they faced any problems.
During the meeting, FNCCI Vice President Hemraj Dhakal said that the government should also take the initiative to control unauthorised imports.
