लगानी आकर्षित गर्न सुदृढ व्यावसायिक वातावरण आवश्यक: जर्मन राजदूत

काठमाडौं, मार्च १० – नेपालका लागि जर्मनीका राजदूत तथा नेपाल जर्मन उद्योग वाणिज्य संघ (NGCCI) का मानार्थ अध्यक्ष महामहिम उडो एउगेन फोल्जले नेपालमा लगानी आकर्षित गर्न तथा व्यापार र आर्थिक गतिविधि विस्तार गर्न सुदृढ व्यावसायिक वातावरण अत्यन्त आवश्यक रहेको बताएका छन्। हालै NGCCI सचिवालयमा आयोजित NGCCI तथा नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघ (FNCCI) सँग आवद्ध व्यवसायीहरूसँगको अन्तरक्रिया कार्यक्रममा बोल्दै NGCCI का अध्यक्ष सन्तोष चन्द्र कुँवरले नेपाल–जर्मनी व्यापार तथा लगानी प्रवर्द्धनमा संघले विगत ३५ वर्षभन्दा बढी समयदेखि नेतृत्वदायी भूमिका खेल्दै आएको उल्लेख गरे। उनले नेपालमा जर्मन लगानी वृद्धि, नेपाल–युरोपियन युनियन (EU) आर्थिक सहकार्य सुदृढीकरण तथा श्रम र सीपयुक्त आप्रवासनसम्बन्धी सम्झौतामा देखिएको स्थिरता हटाउन आवश्यक रहेकोमा जोड दिए। राजदूत फोल्जले नेपाली उद्यमीहरूलाई नेपाल र जर्मनी दुबै देशमा आयोजना हुने व्यापार मेला तथा फोरमहरूमा सक्रिय रूपमा सहभागी भई आफ्ना व्यवसाय प्रवर्द्धन गर्न आग्रह गर्दै जर्मन पर्यटकहरूको नेपालप्रति बढ्दो आकर्षण, विशेष गरी पर्वतारोहण र साहसिक पर्यटनमा रहेको सम्भावनालाई पनि उल्लेख गरे।

कार्यक्रमका क्रममा NGCCI का निवर्तमान अध्यक्ष अनुप बहादुर मल्लले नेपालले विगतमा जर्मनीसँग व्यापार सकारात्मक भए पनि हाल घाटाको अवस्था रहेको उल्लेख गर्दै जर्मन बजारमा नेपाली वस्तु तथा सेवाको प्रवर्द्धनका लागि मापदण्ड, मान्यता, व्यापारिक अवरोध तथा बजार पहुँचसँग सम्बन्धित चुनौतीहरू समाधान गर्नुपर्ने आवश्यकता औंल्याए। NGCCI का सल्लाहकार डा. गोपाल प्रसाद तिवारीले नेपाल र जर्मनीमा संघले विगत केही वर्षदेखि सञ्चालन गर्दै आएका गतिविधिहरूबारे प्रस्तुति दिँदै द्विपक्षीय व्यापार तथा आर्थिक सम्बन्ध सुदृढ गर्न संघले खेलेको भूमिकाबारे प्रकाश पारे। कार्यक्रममा NGCCI का उपाध्यक्ष नरेश लाल श्रेष्ठ र उत्तम भट्टराई, महासचिव एलेक्स लाल मुक्तान, कोषाध्यक्ष शुभाशीष थपलिया, सह–कोषाध्यक्ष गोपाल दास मानन्धर, कार्यसमिति सदस्यहरू विधाता श्रेष्ठ, राजीव मंगल जोशी लगायत अन्य सदस्यहरूले भिसा सहजीकरण, उच्च आयस्तरका पर्यटक आकर्षणमार्फत पर्यटन प्रवर्द्धन, बजार पहुँच तथा निर्यात प्रवर्द्धनका विषयमा आफ्ना धारणा राखेका थिए, जसलाई काठमाडौंस्थित जर्मन दूतावासका अधिकारीहरूले सकारात्मक रूपमा लिएका थिए। कार्यक्रममा जर्मन दूतावासका प्रथम सचिव पिटर स्पेयरसहित अन्य अधिकारीहरू र २० भन्दा बढी व्यवसायीहरूको सहभागिता रहेको थियो। कार्यक्रमको समापनमा NGCCI का सल्लाहकार डा. तिवारीले धन्यवाद ज्ञापन गरेका थिए। यस अवसरमा NGCCI का संस्थापक अध्यक्ष दिव्यमणि राजभण्डारी, पूर्व अध्यक्ष रोहिणी थपलिया तथा पूर्व अध्यक्ष गोपाल सुन्दर लाल काक्ष्यपति पनि उपस्थित रहेका थिए ।



A Sound Business Climate is Key to Attracting Investors: German Envoy to Nepal

Kathmandu, March 10 – His Excellency Udo Eugen Volz, German Ambassador to Nepal and Honorary President of the Nepal German Chamber of Commerce and Industry (NGCCI), emphasized that a sound business climate is essential to attract investment and strengthen trade and economic activities in Nepal. Speaking at an interaction program with business leaders from NGCCI and the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) at the NGCCI Secretariat recently, President Santosh Chandra Kunwar highlighted the Chamber’s more than 35 years of leadership in promoting Nepal–Germany trade and investment. He stressed the importance of increasing German investment in Nepal, enhancing Nepal–EU economic cooperation, and addressing the stagnation in labor and skilled migration agreements. Ambassador Volz encouraged Nepali entrepreneurs to actively participate in trade fairs and forums in both Nepal and Germany and noted the growing interest of German tourists in Nepal, particularly in mountaineering and adventure tourism.

During the program, Immediate Past President Anup Bahadur Malla noted that Nepal previously enjoyed a trade surplus with Germany but is now facing a deficit, emphasizing the need to address challenges related to standards, accreditation, and market access to promote exports. Dr. Gopal Prasad Tiwari, Advisor at NGCCI, presented the Chamber’s activities in Nepal and Germany, highlighting its role in strengthening bilateral economic relations and promoting investment opportunities. Vice Presidents Naresh Lal Shrestha and Uttam Bhattarai, Secretary General Alex Lal Muktan, Treasurer Shubhashish Thapaliya, Co-treasurer Mr Gopal Das Manandhar, Bidhata Shrestha, Rajib Mangal Joshi, and other executive members also raised concerns related to visa simplification, tourism promotion, and export facilitation, which were positively received by officials of the German Embassy. The program was attended by more than 20 businesspersons, including First Secretary Peter Speyer and other embassy officials, and concluded with a vote of thanks from Dr. Tiwari. Later, Mr Dibya Mani Rajbhandari, Founder President of NGCCI; Mr Rohini Thapaliya, former President; and Mr Gopal Sundar Lal Kakshyapati, former President, were also present on the occasion.
