द्विपक्षीय व्यापार सम्बन्धलाई सुदृढ बनाउनु पर्छः ढकाल (२०८१/४/१४)

 
नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघका अध्यक्ष चन्द्रप्रसाद ढकालले नेपाल र थाइल्याण्डबीचको लामो समयदेखिको सम्बन्धलाई औंल्याउदै द्विपक्षीय व्यापार सम्बन्धलाई सुदृढ बनाउनु पर्नेमा जोड दिएका छन् ।

नयाँ दिल्ली स्थित थाई ट्रेड सेन्टरका निर्देशक र वाणिज्य परामर्शदाता सुछिरा पञ्चनासँग सोमबार नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघको सचिवालयमा भएको भेटमा ढकालले नेपाल र थाइल्यान्डबीचको मित्रता र सहकार्यको लामो इतिहास रहेको र व्यापारिक सम्बन्धहरूले यस दिगो सम्बन्धलाई प्रमाणित गरेको बताए । ढकालले विगत वर्षदेखि नेपाल र थाइल्याण्डबीचको व्यापारको मात्रामा निरन्तर वृद्धि भएको र सन् २०२३ मा द्विपक्षीय व्यापार करिब १५ करोड अमेरिकी डलर पुगेको उल्लेख गर्दै यसले दुवै राष्ट्रका लागि सम्भावना र अवसरहरूको सङ्केत गरेको बताए ।

ढकालले नेपाल र थाइल्यान्डबीचको सहकार्य अभिवृद्धिका लागि विभिन्न क्षेत्रमा जोड दिएका थिए । उनले नेपाल चिया, कफी र जडिबुटी जस्ता उच्च गुणस्तरका कृषि उत्पादनमा धनी भएको र थाइल्यान्डको उन्नत खाद्य प्रशोधन प्रविधिको सदुपयोग गरेर यी उत्पादनलाई विश्व बजारमा थप प्रतिस्पर्धी बनाउन सहयोग पुर्याउन सक्ने बताए । ढकालले नेपाल र थाइल्यान्ड दुवै देशका आ–आफ्ना छुट्टै र विविधतायुक्त पर्यटकीय स्थलका लागि प्रख्यात भएकाले दुवै देशले संयुक्त बजारीकरण अभियान र दुवै देशका गन्तव्यलाई समेट्ने पर्यटन प्याकेजको विकास गरी थप पर्यटक भित्र्याउन र पर्यटन क्षेत्रलाई प्रवर्द्धन गर्न सकिने बताए ।

भेटमा सुचिरा पञ्चनाले थाइ ट्रेड सेन्टरले आगामी वर्ष नेपालमा व्यापार मेला तथा गोष्ठी गर्ने योजना रहेको बताइन् । उनले व्यापार मेला तथा गोष्ठी आयोजना गर्न नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघसंग सहयोगको अपेक्षा रहेको बताईन ।


Bilateral trade relations need to be strengthened: Dhakal

Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has emphasised the need to strengthen bilateral trade relations between Nepal and Thailand, pointing to the long-standing relationship between the two countries.

In a meeting with Suchira Panchana, Minister Counsellor (Commercial) and the Director of Thai Trade Centre, New Delhi, at the FNCCI Secretariat on Monday, Dhakal stated that Nepal and Thailand share a long history of friendship and cooperation, and trade relations have proven this enduring relationship. Dhakal mentioned that the volume of trade between Nepal and Thailand has been steadily increasing over the past years, reaching approximately 15 million US dollars in 2023, indicating potential and opportunities for both nations.

In the meeting, Dhakal highlighted various areas for enhanced cooperation between Nepal and Thailand. He stated that Nepal is rich in high-quality agricultural products like tea, coffee and herbs, and by utilising Thailand's advanced food processing technology, these products can be made more competitive in the global market. Dhakal also suggested that both Nepal and Thailand can attract more tourists and promote the tourism sector by developing joint marketing campaigns and tourism packages encompassing destinations from both countries, as both nations are renowned for their unique and diverse tourist attractions.

During the meeting, Suchira Panchana mentioned that the Thai Trade Centre plans to organise a trade fair and seminar in Nepal next year. She expressed her expectation of cooperation from FNCCI in organising the trade fair and seminar.
