कैलाली चेम्बर अफ कमर्शका वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष पुष्करराज ओझाले परम्परागत हेरचाह कार्यलाई आम्दानी गर्ने स्याहार अर्थतन्त्रमा परिणत गर्न आवश्यक रहेको बताएका छन् ।
कैलालीको धनगढीमा साउन ११ गते सम्पन्न निजी क्षेत्रमा केयर अर्थतन्त्रको सान्दर्भिकता विषयक तीनदिने तालिमको समापन समारोहमा ओझाले हेरचाह अर्थतन्त्रको महत्वबारे बताए ।
अन्तर्राष्ट्रिय श्रम संगठनको ‘सशक्त महिला, समृद्ध नेपाल’ परियोजना र नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघ काठमाडौं बीच भएको सम्झौतामा नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघ सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेशले साउन ९ गतेदेखि शुरु भएको तालिमको आयोजना गरेको हो ।
समापन समारोहको अध्यक्षता नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघ सुदूरपश्चिम प्रदेश कार्यसमिति सदस्य तथा लम्की चेम्बर अफ कमर्शका अध्यक्ष पदमराज चौलागाईले गरेका थिए । कैलाली चेम्बर अफ कमर्शका वरिष्ठ उपाध्यक्ष पुष्करराज ओझा विशेष अतिथि थिए । समापन समारोहलाई सम्बोधन गर्दै ओझाले हेरचाह अर्थतन्त्र, राज्यले अक्सर बेवास्ता गर्ने महत्त्वपूर्ण आर्थिक गतिविधिमा मुख्यतया महिलाहरू समावेश हुने जानकारी दिए । उनले परम्परागत हेरचाह कार्यलाई प्रविधिमा आधारित, आयआर्जन गर्ने केयर अर्थतन्त्रमा परिणत गर्न निजी र सार्वजनिक क्षेत्रले मिलेर काम गर्नुपर्नेमा जोड दिए।
आस्था भट्टले तीन दिने तालिमको प्रमुख प्रशिक्षकको रुपमा काम गरिन् ।
सहभागी कृष्ण विष्ट महतले तालिमबाट प्राप्त ज्ञानलाई प्रयोगमा ल्याउन र हेरचाहको अर्थतन्त्रको महत्वबारे सरोकारवालाहरूबीच चेतना जगाउने प्रतिबद्धता व्यक्त गरिन् । तीन दिनसम्म चलेको तालिममा सुदूरपश्चिमका विभिन्न क्षेत्रका उद्योगी, व्यवसायी तथा सरकारी तथा गैरसरकारी संघसंस्थाका प्रतिनिधिसहित ३० जनाको सहभागिता रहेको थियो ।
Need to transform traditional care work into income-generating care economy
Pushkar Raj Ojha, Senior Vice President of the Kailali Chamber of Commerce, has said that stakeholders need to transform traditional care work into income-generating care economies.
Ojha spoke about the importance of the care economy during the closing ceremony of the three-day training programme on the relevance of the care economy in the private sector, which concluded on July 26, in Dhangadhi, Kailali.
The training, which commenced on July 24, was organised by the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Sudurpashchim Province under an agreement between the International LabourOrganiation's 'Empowered Women, Prosperous Nepal' project and the FNCCI Kathmandu.
PadamrajChaulagain, member of the FNCCI Sudurpashchim Province Executive Committee and President of Lamki Chamber of Commerce, chaired the closing ceremony. Pushkar Raj Ojha, Senior Vice President of the Kailali Chamber of Commerce, was the special guest. Addressing the closing ceremony, Ojhaemphasised that the care economy, a significant economic activity often overlooked by the state, primarily involves women. He stressed the need for the private and public sectors to work together to transform traditional care work into technology-driven, income-generating care economies.
Astha Bhatt served as the lead trainer for the three-day training programme.
Krishna Bist Mahat, a participant, expressed her commitment to applying the knowledge gained from the training and raising awareness about the importance of the care economy among stakeholders. The training, which lasted for three days, saw the participation of 30 individuals from various sectors in Sudurpashchim, including industrialists, businesspeople and representatives from government and non-governmental organisations.
