नेपालको पर्यटन क्षेत्रमा लगानीको प्रशस्त सम्भावना छः ढकाल (२०८१ /६/७)

नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघका अध्यक्ष चन्द्र प्रसाद ढकालले नेपाललाई प्रमुख पर्यटकीय गन्तव्यको रुपमा प्रस्तुत गर्दै पर्यटन पूर्वाधारमा थप लगानीको आवश्यकता औंल्याउनु भएको छ ।

सोमबार बैंककमा आयोजित ३७औं एशियन ट्रेड प्रमोशन फोरममा बोल्दै ढकालले विदेशी लगानीकर्ताहरुलाई होटल, थीम पार्क र साहसिक पर्यटन गन्तव्यहरू जस्ता क्षेत्रमा सम्भावनाहरु रहेको जानकारी गराउनु भयो । उहाँले नेपालमा रिसोर्टहरूको बढ्दो मागको चर्चा गर्दै यस क्षेत्रमा साझेदारीको अवसर रहेको बताउनु भयाे।

ढकालले नेपालको सूचना तथा सञ्चार प्रविधि र चलचित्र उद्योगमा लगानीका अवसरहरु रहेको कुरामा पनि जोड दिनुभएको छ । ढकालले हस्तकलाका उत्पादनहरू, संगीत, चलचित्र र डिजिटल कला जस्ता क्षेत्रहरूमा उल्लेखनीय वृद्धि भएको, र यसले आर्थिक विकासमा मात्र नभई नेपालको समृद्ध सांस्कृतिक सम्पदाको संरक्षणमा पनि योगदान पुर्याएको कुरा जानकारी गराउनु भयो ।

नेपालको सूचना तथा सञ्चार प्रविधि उद्योगमा रहेको अवसरहरूको चर्चा गर्दै ढकालले देशको युवा र ऊर्जावान जनसंख्याले यो क्षेत्रमा योगदान गरिरहेको बताउनुभयो । तर, यस क्षेत्रको पूर्ण क्षमता उपयोग गर्न साना तथा मझौला उद्योगहरुका लागि वित्तीय पहुँच, क्षमता निर्माण र बजार पहुँचको खाँचो रहेको उहाँले औंल्याउनुभयो ।

ढकालले नेपालले विदेशी लगानीकर्ताहरूका लागि प्रदान गर्ने रणनीतिक फाइदाहरूलाई पनि औंल्याउनुभयो । वहाँले नेपालले हालसालै लगानी सम्बन्धी आठ कानुनहरू संशोधन गरेको र विदेशी लगानीलाई सहजीकरण गर्न द्विपक्षीय लगानी सम्झौताको संरचना पारित गरेको जानकारी दिनु भयो ।

ढकालले नेपालको जलविद्युत क्षेत्रको बढ्दो सम्भावनाको पनि चर्चा गर्नुभयो । भारतले आगामी दस वर्षमा नेपालबाट १०,००० मेगावाट विद्युत् खरिद गर्ने प्रतिबद्धता जनाएको र बंगलादेशमा देखिएका नयाँ अवसरहरू पनि उहाँले उल्लेख गर्नुभयो ।



Nepal offers ample investment opportunities in tourism sector: Dhakal

Chandra Prasad Dhakal, President of the Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI), has highlighted the need for increased investment in tourism infrastructure, promoting Nepal as a major tourist destination.

Speaking at the 37th Asian Trade Promotion Forum held in Bangkok on Monday, Dhakal informed foreign investors about the potential opportunities in sectors like hotels, theme parks and adventure tourism destinations. Highlighting the growing demand for resorts in Nepal, he mentioned opportunities for partnerships in this sector.

Dhakal also emphasised the investment opportunities in Nepal's information and communication technology and film industries. He informed that there has been significant growth in sectors like handicrafts, music, films and digital art, which has not only contributed to economic development but also helped preserve Nepal's rich cultural heritage.

Discussing the opportunities in Nepal's information and communication technology industry, Dhakal mentioned that the country's young and energetic population has been contributing immensely to this sector. However, he pointed out the need for financial access, capacity building and market access for small and medium enterprises to fully utilise the potential of this sector.

Dhakal also highlighted the strategic advantages Nepal offers to foreign investors. He informed that Nepal has recently amended eight investment-related laws and endorsed a bilateral investment treaty framework to facilitate foreign investment.

Dhakal further discussed the growing potential of Nepal's hydropower sector. He mentioned India's commitment to purchase 10,000 megawatts of electricity from Nepal in the next ten years and the new opportunities emerging in Bangladesh.
