नेपाल-कतार व्यवसायिक भेटवार्तालाई अध्यक्ष राणाद्वारा संवोधन: नेपालमा सस्तो श्रम शक्तिमा, थुप्रै क्षेत्रमा संयुक्त लगानी गरी लाभ उठाउन सकिने अध्यक्ष राणाद्वारा स्पष्ट (२०७५/०७/१४)

सम्माननीय राष्ट्रपति विद्यादेवी भण्डारीको समुपस्थितिमा कतारको दोहामा आयोजित उच्चस्तरीय व्यवसायिक भेटवार्तालाई संवोधन गर्नुहुँदै नेपाल उद्योग वाणिज्य महासंघका अध्यक्ष भवानी राणाले कतारी लगानीकताहरूलाई नेपालमा निर्धक्क भएर लगानी गर्न आग्रह गर्नुभयो । दुवै देशका उद्यमी व्यवसायीहरूको बाक्लो उपस्थिति रहेको नेपाल-कतार व्यवसायिक भेटवार्ता (Nepal-Qatar Business Meet) मा अध्यक्ष राणाले बदलिँदो प्रतिस्पर्धी विश्व व्यापारको वातावरणमा नेपालमा आफ्नो व्यापार लगानी विस्तार गर्न आग्रह गर्नुभयो । सम्माननीय राष्ट्रपति विद्यादेवी भण्डारीको कतारको ४ दिने औपचारिक भ्रमणका साथ महासंघका अध्यक्ष राणाको नेतृत्वमा उपाध्यक्ष चन्द्र प्रसाद ढकाल सहितको महासंघको प्रतिनिधिमण्डल अहिले कतारको दोहामा रहेको छ ।


निजी क्षेत्रको संघीय प्रतिनिधिमूलक संस्था महासंघले मुलुकको आर्थिक समृद्धि तथा आत्मनिर्भर अर्थ व्यवस्थालाई सदैव विकेन्द्रीत अवधारणा अनुसार अघि सारेर कार्य गरिरहेको उहाँले बताउनुभयो । लामो राजनीतिक अस्थिरता पश्चात नेपालमा पूर्णरूपमा राजनीतिक स्थिरता कायम भई लगानीको वातावरण बनेको समेत अध्यक्ष राणाले प्रष्ट पार्नुभयो । साथै उहाँले महासंघले पी-टु-पी अवधारणा (P2P Approach) मार्फत आर्थिक विकास र आत्मनिर्भर अर्थतन्त्रको विकासमा जोड दिँदै आएको पनि बताउनु भयो । 

चार लाख भन्दा बढी नेपालीहरूले कतारमा काम गरेर ठूलो मात्रामा रेमिट्यान्स पठाई नेपाली अर्थतन्त्रमा सहयोग पुर्‍याईरहेको उल्लेख गर्नुहुँदै अध्यक्ष राणाले तुलनात्मक रूपमा सस्तो श्रम शक्तिमा अन्य थुप्रै क्षेत्रहरूमा नेपालमा संयुक्त लगानी गरी लाभ उठाउन सकिने बताउनु भयो । द्विपक्षीय व्यापार अत्यन्त न्यून रहेको प्रशंग उठाउनुहुँदै अध्यक्ष राणाले व्यापार अभिवृद्धिका लागि दुवै देशबाट महत्वपूर्ण पहल हुनुपर्नेमा समेत जोड दिनुभयो । कार्यक्रममा कतारी उद्योगी व्यवसायीहरूले नेपालको कृषि, वित्तिय, उर्जा, पूर्वाधार, पर्यटन एवं नेपालमा वैदेशिक लगानी आकर्षणका लागि आवश्यक सहजीकरणमा महासंघको प्रतिवद्धता लगायतका अन्य थुप्रै क्षेत्रमा चासो देखाएका थिए । 

नेपाल तथा कतार बीच सन् १९७७ जनवरी २१ बाट दौत्य सम्बन्ध स्थापना भएको र सन् २००५ मा निजी क्षेत्रको प्रतिनिधिमुलक संस्था महासंघ र कतार उद्योग वाणिज्य संघ बीच आपसी सहकार्यका लागि समझदारीपत्रमा हस्ताक्षर भएको स्मरण गराउनुहुंदै उहाँले आपसी सहमती अनुसार दुवै संस्था बीच व्यवसायिक भेटवार्ता, व्यापार मेलाहरू, व्यावसायिक प्रतिनिधिमण्डलको आदान प्रदान, संयुक्त लगानी प्रवद्र्धन, लगानीका सम्भाव्य क्षेत्रहरूको पहिचान, पर्यटन, कृषि तथा सेवा क्षेत्रमा सहकार्यका लागि  पहल हुनुपर्नेमा जोड दिनु भयो । यसका लागि महासंघ सदैव तयार रहेको समेत स्पष्ट पार्नुभयो ।  

अध्यक्ष राणाले सन् २०२० को पर्यटन वर्षसँगै नेपालमा अन्तराष्ट्रिय तथा क्षेत्रीय विमानस्थल, द्रुतमार्ग, रेलवे, केवलकार र स्मार्ट सिटिज जस्ता पूर्वाधार निर्माणमा ठूलो लगानीको अवसर रहेको जानकारी गराउनु भयो । विशेष गरी उर्जा, पर्यटन, कृषि तथा वनजन्य, सूचनाप्रविधि तथा खानीजन्य, उत्पादनमुलक र पूर्वाधार निर्माण लगायतका क्षेत्रमा नेपालले ठूलो लगानी खोजीरहेको बताउनु भयो । नेपाली कृषि उपजलाई कतारले सहज र सिधा पहुँच दिन पनि अध्यक्ष राणाले आग्रह गर्नुभयो ।




नेपालमा हाल लगानी गरिरहेका वहुराष्ट्रिय कम्पनीहरूले निकै धेरै मुनाफा कमाई आफ्नो लगानी विस्तार गरीरहेको जानकारी गराउनुहुंदै उहाँले सरकार पनि दोस्रोचरणको सुधार मार्फत बढी भन्दा बढी प्रत्यक्ष वैदेशिक लगानी आकर्षणमा केन्द्रीत भैरहेको बताउनु भयो । अध्यक्ष राणाले अहिले नेपालबाट कतारमा थोरै सामाग्री निर्यात हुने गरेकोमा कृषि उत्पादनलाई बढावा दिन सके निर्यात बढ्ने समेत बताउनु भयो । औपचारिक भ्रमणका क्रममा दुवै देशका सरकार बीच कृषि र खाद्य सुरक्षा क्षेत्रमा सहकार्य सम्बन्धी समझदारीपत्रमा हस्ताक्षर भएबाट थप सहकार्यका क्षेत्रमा ढोका खुलेको अध्यक्ष राणाले बताउनु भयो । 

महासंघमा रहेको तथ्यांक अनुसार आर्थिक वर्ष सन् २०१६/१७ मा नेपालले कतारबाट रू. ४४ करोड ५३ लाखको वस्तु तथा सामान आयात गरेको र नेपालबाट रू. ९३ लाख ८७ हजार मुल्य बरावरको वस्तु तथा सामान निर्यात भएको पाइन्छ । यो व्यापार घाटालाई कम गरी व्यापार विस्तार हुनुपर्नेमा सो अवसरमा दुवै पक्षबाट जोड दिइयो । 

नेपालबाट पास्ता, कार्पेट, हस्ताकलाका सामग्री र चियाकफी निर्यात भएको पाइन्छ भने नेपालले प्लाष्टीक्सजन्य सामान, विद्युतीय सामग्री, मेशीनरी सामान आदि आयात गरेको देखिन्छ । नेपालमा पर्यटन र सेवा क्षेत्रमा गरी करिव १.४८ मिलियन अमेरिकी डलर वरावरको कतारी लगानी रहेको तथ्यांक छ । 

कतारमा रहँदा महासंघको प्रतिनिधिमण्डलले सम्माननीय राष्ट्रपतिको औपचारिक कार्यक्रमहरूमा सहभागी हुनुका साथै कतारका उद्योगी व्यवसायी र त्यहाँको गैह्र आवासीय नेपाली प्रतिनिधिहरूसँग समेत औपचारिक भेटवार्ता गरेको छ ।


FNCCI President assures Qatari investors to invest in Nepal (English Version)
 
Doha, Qatar October 30: President of Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI) Ms Bhawani Rana, while addressing the meeting of Nepal-Qatar business meet, assured Qatari investors to invest in Nepal as there exists sound investment environment and huge potential for business in a changed competitive global environment.
 
Ms Rana is in Qatar leading a Nepalese Business delegation starting from October 29 to November 1, in an official Entourage of Nepal's President Mrs Bidya Devi Bhandari. Addressing the meeting attended by Nepal's Rt Honourable President Mrs Bidya Devi Bhandari, Ms Rana of FNCCI thanked the organizers for taking this initiative to discuss on strengthening the private sector's role in boosting economies of both the countries as FNCCI always focuses on economic growth and self-sustained economy through P2P approach. After years of political unrest, the country is now ready for investment and moving with a common goal of economic growth through shared prosperity, she said. President of Nepal Rt. Honourable Mrs Bidya Devi Bhandari and foreign Minister of Nepal honourable Mr Pradeep Gyawali also addressed the meeting and assured the investors for investing in Nepal without hesitation.
 
As Nepalis are working in a large number in Nepal that stands more than 400 thousand and sending home back huge remittances to support the economy, there is also stands huge trade and investment opportunities through better exploitation of comparative advantageous sectors, said Bhawani Rana, indicating a low amount of trade between the two countries, at the high level trade meeting today.  Businessmen from Qatar also shown interest to join hands for investment in Nepal in banking, agriculture, hydropower and others for which FNCCI has shown its commitment to facilitate to bring more FDI into Nepal.
 
Nepal and Qatar shares the historic and cultural ties since long. The diplomatic relations between Nepal and Qatar was established on January 21, 1977. And even the Chamber to Chamber MoU between FNCCI, an apex body of the business community, and Qatar Chamber of Commerce and Industry was signed in 2005. FNCCI and QCCI can organize B2B meetings, trade fairs, exchange trade delegations and initiate joint ventures, potential sectors for investment – tourism and service sector including agriculture. We have tourism year 2020 and tremendous infrastructure development potential such international airlines, regional airports, highways/roads, railways, cable cars and smart cities, Rana informed. According to her, major  FDI sectors are energy-based, tourism, agro-Forestry based, Information Technology and Minerals, and Manufacturing and Construction.
 
She also gave an example that the MNCs in Nepal have been doing well and generating good profits.This government is very much focused on attracting FDI through second generation reforms by creating one window policy/repatriation of funds through easy process.She informed the Qatari businessmen that good investment-friendly policies exist for repatriating the profits.
 
Other members in the delegation who attended the meeting were Vice President of FNCCI Chandra Prasad Dhakal, Executive Member of FNCCI/AEC Co-chairperson Hem Raj Dhakal, Nirmal Bhattarai, President of Large Cardamom Entrepreneurs Association (LCEA), Vijay Bahadur Shah President of Association of Insurance and Reinsurance Cos in Developing countries and Gopal Prasad Tiwari, Officiating Director General of FNCCI.
